I love photography and I am constantly looking for ways to improve my photography skills. The way to improve any form of art is to practice. Whenever I am in Pune I go for a hike on ARAI, a hill behind our house. This was a perfect opportunity to test my skills and improve them because it was a combination of different subjects like people<\/a>, birds<\/a>, animals, landscapes, etc. Due to this diversity, I had the opportunity to explore different lenses and settings for each situation. For example, if I wanted to capture the scenery then a Wide angle lens would be ideal because it makes the background objects look smaller, and further away from the camera. I could get a good picture from a normal lens as well but a wide-angle lens is specifically used for this and I wanted to learn more about different lenses to better understand photography.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made a list of things I wanted to capture and which lens would be ideal for it. It took me the next three days to go through all of them and I analyzed why a picture is good and how I could improve the bad ones. For example, I had previously thought that a wide-angle lens would be better suited for capturing the sunset<\/a> but after a lot of trial and error, I realized that a telephoto lens is better.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I learned to seize every opportunity to take photographs that come my way. I learned how to compose and take live-action pictures. I experimented with a normal and macro lens to photograph a bee<\/a> during spring. I learned which lenses and settings to use in different instances. Finally, I met a lot of photographers, compared their photos with mine, and learned from their experience, new techniques, and postprocessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
